Meet Our CEO: Chemist, sustainability consultant and founder of EnabledFuture.

Dr Michelle K. Lynch is a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, with a PhD in chemicals and catalysis. She founded EnabledFuture in October 2016. Her work spans catalyst research and development, chemical and catalyst markets, precious metals, battery metals and materials, battery recycling, chemical energy vectors, hydrocarbon refining, patent analysis and sustainability consulting. Additionally, she offers classroom and online technical CPD training.

Our CEO’s areas of expertise include chemical processes, battery materials, recycling and the circular economy. Accordingly, she provides techno-economic analysis, competitive benchmarking, innovation support and strategic advice on a range of supply chain technologies – right across their lifecycles.

Consulting Project Experience

Our CEO has delivered hundreds of consulting projects since 2011 on precious metals, catalysts, batteries, critical metals, chemical value chains, and hydrocarbon processing for lower carbon intensity production of fuels. Additionally she has delivered over 400 hours of training for continuing professional development (CPD).

Michelle has developed robust skills in recognising patterns and repeat trends in chemical and metal market behaviour. Consequently, she is well placed  to provide connected insights across chemicals, materials and energy.  Compared to her peers, Michelle brings a unique ability to provide oversight on the allied industries. Furthermore to evaluate not just their stated intentions to be sustainable, but their ongoing commitment to meeting those goals.

Her current focus is on scrutiny of chemical supply chain accountability and veracity of sustainability claims. Currently, she is developing dashboards which can translate complex regulatory data and compliance topics into actionable insights for investors.  Furthermore, she is continuing to demystify the vast complexity of hydrocarbon processing – and developing Global Technology Dashboards for each of EnabledFuture’s Sector Hexagons.

As can be seen from her recent feature article: “Why is INEOS really mothballing Hull?”, our CEO demonstrates a breadth of chemical supply chain knowledge and strategic thinking. Not only covering the core technical catalysis aspects of chemical production, but also honest insights on chemical industry failings.

Above all, Michelle proudly offers to be “the consultant you come to for the truth before you sign a cheque”.

Explicitly, her unwavering vision is for A Sustainable Future Without Compromise.
