The 1st West Midlands, Battery Ecosystem Conference & Expo (WMBE2024)
On November 4 2024, EnabledFuture hosted the 1st West Midland’s Battery Ecosystem Conference & Expo. The event which took place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, United Kingdom was well attended and positively received. The first run of this brand new event saw over 70 conference attendees plus additional visitors to the exhibition over the course of the day. We were delighted by the support for the event and the positive reviews!
At WMBE2024, we hosted a diverse range of expert speakers and panellists over the day. We were also joined by a range of exhibitors from across the West Midlands battery supply chain including Evera Recruitment (event sponsor) and Polestar Solihull. We are also deeply grateful to PI-KEM for supporting the event and for their positive and insightful post-conference report.
Our invited speakers included representatives from Greenpower Park, the UKRI Faraday Battery Challenge, Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), UKBIC, and the MTC. We were also honoured to have Professor Gavin Harper chair a session.
We were especially happy to host a young person’s panel in the afternoon chaired by our CEO – Dr Michelle K. Lynch. We heard from three panelists from a range of academic and professional backgrounds: Dr Dhivya Egambaram from JLR, Blessin Annie John from University of Durham and Tim Shelley, founder of TJ Digital System Ltd.
